Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman Satisfied With President Obama’s Remarks

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) – President Obama had plenty of kind words for Las Vegas during his speech at Aria at CityCenter Friday. Because of those comments, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman refused an invitation to meet with President Obama. Those words he made in his speech at Aria, were enough to satisfy Mayor Goodman, who was demanding an apology


In all, that praise for Las Vegas though, President Obama never uttered the words, “I’m sorry.”

Mayor Goodman seems to be moving past that though.

Well you know it’s presumptuous of me to ask the President of the United States to say I’m sorry. That wasn’t the objective of what I was trying to accomplish. I was trying to get him to straighten the record out and to ensure that in future days that there will not be comments made that reference Las Vegas in a light that may not be in our best interest,” explained Mayor Goodman

  1. Nothing says I’m sorry like $1.5 billion for states with foreclosure problems and Nevada is one of those states, huh?
